It is a film which has been anticipated by many in the local entertainment industry. Two years to be exact. The film was reportedly produced on a small budget and filmed in an astonishing 11 days! Suicide. It is very rare that a Malaysian film will take on a sensitive subject which some in the public might frown upon it. I feel Grand Brilliance took a big risk in distributing KIL but I think it will pay off.

The film is told via a non-linear story line. A non-linear story line is when a film doesn’t start with the ‘beginning’ and finishes with the ‘end’ but could start with the ‘end’ or any parts of the film. This is rarely seen locally and always in Hollywood films. For a film that has a ‘dramatic’ premise, I like the fact that it was not too heavy and does not bore the audience. On average they are watching impressed, excited and jealous of the greatness of this film. Strong story line, strong acting and wonderful cinematography KIL making it one of the must watch movie of the year.

Alpacas can make great pets! If you have simply fallen in love with an alpaca but can’t afford the investment costs related to breeding, registration, etc. then perhaps a pet alpaca is the answer. However, before rushing out to purchase that pet alpaca there are a few things you must keep in mind. First, alpacas are herd animals and must share a pen with another alpaca, so two alpacas is the first requirement. Secondly, make certain that the temperament of the alpacas you are purchasing is normal and you are not taking on an alpaca with a problem temperament.

Alpacas designated as pet quality can range in price from $500 and up, about the same price as an AKC puppy. Also, if you are interest in a Companion Quality (Pet Quality) alpaca for fleece or spinning purposes, this may be the very way to do this. Consequently, because they are considered pet quality does not mean their fleece is of high micron count. It can mean only that this alpaca has a conformational problem. For example, a blue-eyed alpaca is frequently considered to be at risk of deafness, or some other congenital defect may appear in the history of the pedigree. As a result these alpacas are removed from the breeding pool and deemed Pet Quality.

If you are considering purchasing an alpaca as a pet consider gelding the male of two years old or above, in order to maintain a mellow disposition and temperament. Gelding is not recommended on a male alpacas prior to the age of two due to complications in the growth process. Other than the cost of gelding, keeping a couple of alpacas as pets can be done quite inexpensively. The expenses you can expect are annual vet exams, vaccinations, worming, shearing, feed costs and supplements to the feed. A pet dog can easily be more expensive to keep than two male alpacas.

Kids love alpacas. It is a wonder to watch the delight on the face of a child when they first meet an alpaca. And, most alpacas have an affinity for children. For the small acreage landowner with children, alpacas may be a perfect match. Besides the opportunity to learn the basic skills needed to care for a pet, children may even develop a life long interest in the fiber arts.

Unusual Idea

It was the summer of ’65. Having just graduated from high school, 17-year-old Fred DeLuca turned his thoughts toward achieving a higher education. That summer, there wasn’t much hope that Fred would have enough money to pay for his college tuition. He was a hard-working young man but his $1.25-per-hour minimum wage job wasn’t enough. He decided to ask Dr. Pete Buck, a nuclear physicist and longtime DeLuca family friend, for some financial advice. When he learned how badly Fred had wanted to go to college, maybe the doctor would offer to help.

Instead, Dr. Buck had a rather unusual idea.

“I think you should open a submarine sandwich shop,” said Buck. Before Fred could think about it or express his surprise, he heard himself say, “How does it work?”

Dr. Buck explained the submarine sandwich business. Customers would come in, put money on the counter and Fred would have enough to pay for college. To Dr. Buck, it was just as simple as that, and if young Fred was willing to do it, Dr. Buck was willing to be his partner. He pulled out his checkbook and wrote a check for $1,000. The first restaurant, then called Pete’s Super Submarines, opened that year.

45 years and more than 37,000 restaurants later, Fred DeLuca remains the President of Subway.

Today, the SUBWAY® brand is the world’s largest submarine sandwich chain with more than 37,000 locations around the world. It have become the leading choice for people seeking quick, nutritious meals that the whole family can enjoy. From the beginning, Fred has had a clear vision for the future of the SUBWAY® brand. Their workers are guided by his passion for delighting customers by serving fresh, delicious, made-to-order sandwiches.

Love locks appear in many locations around the world, and their historical importance varies greatly from place to place, but ultimately, they are a symbol of everlasting love. What happens is a couple writes their names on a padlock, they lock it onto the bridge and then throw the key into the river below. It is said that when you place a lock on the bridge your love is “locked forever” and nothing can break the seal unless you retrieve the key to unlock it, which would be near impossible since it is at the bottom of the river. This reality induces many brokenhearted individuals to return with bolt cutters to try to chop off the padlocks.

There are two bridges in Paris with the locks, you must be very careful which bridge you put your lock on because Pont des Arts is for your committed love, while Pont de l’Archevêché is for your lover. This may explain why Pont de l’Archevêché is completely packed with locks, while Pont des Arts has plenty of room. Whether you’re just admiring the ocean of locks or adding to the collection, these bridges are definitely two spots to stop while in Paris.
